\n\nHow do I make an initial tattoo enquiry?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>For all appointment enquiries please use our enquiries form, this will ask you for all the information we need. Alternatively, you can contact our artists directly via Instagram, please see their booking highlights to find out what information they will require.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\nCan I walk in or do I need an appointment?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>Appointments are recommended to guarantee an appointment. We do offer walk-ins where possible, but it\u2019s best to call ahead to check availability.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\nDo you offer consultations?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>Yes, however please call to book. In the majority of cases, the information required in our contact form is enough to be able to go ahead and get booked in, but for larger or more complex requests, we may ask you to come in for a consultation so that your design can be discussed in person<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\nWhat should I be aware of before booking my tattoo?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n- You must be 18 or over to have a tattoo and photo ID will be required on the day of your appointment. (We cannot accept parental consent for under 18\u2019s).<\/li>\n
- We unfortunately cannot tattoo you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.<\/li>\n
- If you have any medical conditions such as a blood borne virus etc, please make your artist aware of this.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n
Do you take deposits?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n- Deposits are required for all bookings. A normal appointment will require a \u00a350 deposit, and a full day session will require a \u00a3250 deposit.<\/li>\n
- DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE<\/strong>. If you are unable to make your appointment, we can reschedule and hold the deposit as long as you give us at least 2 days notice.<\/li>\n
- The remaining balance for the tattoo is to be paid on the day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n
How should I prepare for my tattoo<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n- Start moisturising the area one week in advance of your appointment, but not on the day of.<\/li>\n
- Make sure to get a good night\u2019s sleep the night before and eat a decent breakfast the morning of. You can bring snacks and sugary drinks to help you during your appointment.<\/li>\n
- Too much alcohol the night before is not a good idea, as this can thin the blood.<\/li>\n
- Please be aware we will not tattoo anyone under the influence of drink or drugs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n
Will I see a design before my appointment?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>The design will be shown to you on the day of your appointment, and minor changes to the design and sizing\/ placement can be discussed at that time. It is important that all of the information you give us in the enquiry form is accurate as complete redesigns may not be possible on the day.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\nCan I use numbing cream?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n- We do not recommend using numbing cream. This can make the skin more difficult to tattoo and can sometimes affect how it heals. There is often a greater level of pain experienced once it has worn off.<\/li>\n
- If you would like to use numbing cream then speak to us before your appointment. We recommend doing a patch test a couple of weeks before your appointment to make sure you don’t have a reaction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n
Are there any areas\/tattoo\u2019s you refuse?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n- The areas of the body which we do not tattoo are the sides of the fingers\/palms, the inner lip and the soles of the feet. These areas tend to be very difficult to heal and are prone to falling out and blow outs.<\/li>\n
- We do not tattoo in white ink alone as this tends to turn\u00a0an off-white yellow colour over time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n
How much will my tattoo cost?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n- We have a \u00a350 minimum and generally quote based on size and detail. For full day sessions we charge \u00a3500.<\/li>\n
- We are often able to give an indication of price over email.<\/li>\n
- The remainder of your payment is due after your tattoo has been done.<\/li>\n
- Please note that all deposits are non-refundable. 48 hours notice is required should you wish to re-schedule your appointment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n
What methods of payment do you accept?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n- We accept cash and card payments, as well as vouchers.<\/li>\n
- We do not accept American Express.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n
Can I bring a friend\/partner to my appointment?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>We do have a large waiting room area however it can get busy, if your appointment is going to be quite long it’s best not to bring someone with you. Only the person being tattooed is allowed to go through to the tattoo areas.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\nAre you a licensed studio?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>Yes, and we work closely with our local health environment officers to ensure standards are upheld.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\nDo you do cover-ups?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>We will work with coverups where possible, in these scenarios it is best to arrange a consultation so we can see what we\u2019re working with. If we feel that there are no cover-up options you will be happy with, we will likely recommend laser removal, which a is a service we do offer inhouse.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\nCan I exercise with a new tattoo?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n- Exercise is fine, as long as the area is not knocked. Contact sports e.g Rugby are generally not advised until fully healed, due to the risk of knocking off scabs. Swimming is not advised for at least 3 weeks. If you go to the gym, we recommend you wipe down all surfaces before using equipment during the healing period.<\/li>\n
- After exercise make sure you wash the area with warm water and soap for sensitive skin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n
Is it safe to swim and sunbathe with a fresh tattoo?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n- We recommend at least 3 weeks before exposing a fresh tattoo to sun\/ sea\/swimming. This is due to the risk of poor healing and infection.<\/li>\n
- It is always best to wait until after a holiday before having a new tattoo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n
How do I look after my new tattoo?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>Your artist will explain how they would like you to look after you tattoo, this can vary piece by piece.<\/p>\n
Generally we recommend to do the following:<\/p>\n
\n- Remove your dressing after 2-3 hours (unless otherwise advised by your artist).<\/li>\n
- Wash your tattoo with clean hands, using warm soapy water. Rinse the area and pat dry with a clean towel or kitchen roll.<\/li>\n
- Normal showering is fine just do not soak your tattoo or rub with a towel.<\/li>\n
- Apply aftercare cream 2 times a day until your tattoo is healed (Unless otherwise advised by your artist).<\/li>\n
- Your tattoo will scab whilst it is healing, do not pick at it as this can cause patchiness and uneven healing.<\/li>\n
- Avoid swimming or suntanning until your tattoo has healed (usually 2-3 weeks).<\/li>\n
- To prolong the quality of your tattoo over time, avoid over-exposure to the sun by applying a high SPF sunblock.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<\/div><\/p><\/div>
Piercings<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/section>
\n\nCan I walk in or do I need an appointment?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>Piercings are done on a walk-in basis, however we recommend calling ahead on the day so we can let you know the best times.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\nHow should I prepare for my piercing?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n- Make sure you\u2019ve had a decent meal beforehand and bring a sugary drink with you.<\/li>\n
- Too much alcohol the night before is not a good idea, as this can thin the blood.<\/li>\n
- Please be aware we will not pierce anyone under the influence of drink or drugs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n
